About us

A charitable trust for health-professional education and Type 1 awareness.

Savithri Trust is a physician-founded charitable trust in Vijayawada. Founded by Dr E. M. Goutham and Dr R. Sridevi, it educates health professionals, conducts Continuing Medical Education (CME), and promotes accurate public understanding of Type 1 diabetes.

The Trust operates from Goutham's Diabetes and Hormone Care, DasariVari Street, Suryaraopeta, Vijayawada — a natural home for a mission that begins with clinical excellence and reaches outward into the community.

Mission

To educate health professionals, conduct high-quality CMEs, and raise public understanding of Type 1 diabetes so that care is timely, skilled and free of stigma.

Vision

A society in which no family faces Type 1 diabetes without knowledge, no clinician is left without updated learning, and health education is treated as an act of care.

Values

Compassion, scientific honesty, dignity for patients and families, and a commitment to lifelong learning for every health professional we reach.

Why this work

Education is a form of treatment.

Delayed diagnosis, confusion between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, and gaps in professional training still cost children and families dearly. The Trust was created so that learning — for doctors, nurses, students and the public — is organised, repeated and rooted in real clinical care.
